1/18 scale 1975 Peugeot 504 GL diecast model by Welly. Their recent 1/18 and 1/24 castings stand up well in comparison to more expensive rival brands like Norev, Sun Star, Signature and Yat Ming’s premium lineup, but are somewhat inferior to Autoart, Kyosho, Minichamps or the “mint” brands (Franklin/Danbury). Not to mention that Welly has the only Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider, bay-window Volkswagen Kombi and Peugeot 403 Cabriolet in large-scale, the only acceptable Volkswagen Karmann Ghia in large-scale, and supposedly the only second-generation Volkswagen Passat (Quantum) in almost any scale in the works.
This model can be got through Diecast Models Wholesale in white only in the US, but is available in red, black, white and French Racing Blue through many sources in Europe. Betcha dollars to doughnuts that you can only buy the Alfa in Rosso Corsa (Ferrari red) when it comes Stateside and that Welly or a third party will eventually make a special Columbo edition of the 403.
